YAUMAY, a dim sum restaurant by Alan Yau, the esteemed London based restaurant curator.
The menu is very much anchored on the traditional cantonese dim sum cuisine originating from Guangzhou, with a few eclectic touches from Yau. Signature dishes include crispy aromatic duck, Jasmine tea smoked Kibimaru ribs, Scallop shu mai and venison puff…
The name YAUMAY丘如春 consist of two words:
YAU
the surname of Alan Yau
MAY
a representation to the optimistic season of Spring – the beginning of life
The combination of the two words provides a well-wishing Chinese expression similar to the poetic gesture:
May the four seasons of the year be likened to Spring
